  3. Double click to install !Index on the iconbar.
  4. Drag the !Index icon into an open directory
  5. window to create an index of the directory
  6. (including the index).

  8. This application has been designed in two parts:
  9. DragMe and !RunImage. DragMe gets the name of the 
  10. directory that its sprite is dragged into and 
  11. passes it as a parameter to !RunImage.
  12.  
  13. DragMe must be used in a directory named in the
  14. system variable DragMe$Dir, which must contain
  15. a Templates file, containing a template called "info",
  16. and a file called !RunImage. If you want to alter
  17. either the taskname ("Index") or the icon ("!index")
  18. used by DragMe you will need to edit it, for example
  19. with Edit or Zap. The taskname is given by the 
  20. zero-terminated string offset 16 bytes from the 
  21. start of the file DragMe. The iconbar icon is named by 
  22. the zero-terminated string offset 52 bytes from the 
  23. start of the file DragMe. These names must be less 
  24. than 12 characters long.
  25. Judicious editing of the two occurrences of the string
  26. "DragMe$Dir" in the file DragMe may be useful too.
